How we speak about others is often more important than how we speak to them. This is almost certainly the case if there is a difference between the two. If you find yourself saying one thing to a person, but different things when they are not present, this is very-likely an area where you can make improvement. In this series, we will post quick daily lessons from the book Chofetz Chaim - A Lesson a Day, by Michael Rothschild. This book offers daily lessons in how to guard your tongue from "forbidden speech". While this is a Jewish source, it is really for all humans from all walks of life and belief systems. The book consists of short lessons laid out according to the calendar (the Hebrew calendar, that is), but here we will just present them in order without regard to today's date.
